It's #NationalParksWeek, when we honor the treasured outdoor spaces that bring us endless joy. ⛰
There is no question that plastic pollution poses a threat to these beloved landmarks. With an average of 330 million visitors each year, the National Park Service manages approximately 70 million pounds of waste nationally (which would fill nearly 600 dump trucks!). It’s time to end the sale of the most harmful and pervasive plastic products infiltrating our National Parks.
That’s why this #NationalParksWeek, we are asking you to take action to keep single-use plastics from polluting these wondrous places. #PlasticFreeParks #LeaveNoTrace
