Surfrider’s Blue Water Task Force coordinator, Mara Dias, and our chapter’s water testing intern, Colleen Henn, introduced kids aged 7-12 who attend the summer program at Camp Soulgrow to the science of water testing and local water quality issues on Wednesday, July 13th.
The kids had a great time getting their hands wet and learning how they can help keep our beaches and water clean. We’re excited to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards through our environmental education program, made possible by the generous support of the Walrath Family Foundation. We hope to do more soon!
Check out the points we discussed with the kids on ways they and their families can help protect clean water and keep our beaches clean.
