This year, we're holding our 21st annual Surf Movie Night! Save the date for Friday, September 15 at the Southampton Arts Center (rain date: Sunday, September 17). Doors will open in the late afternoon to leave time for our pre-film activities.
Our annual fundraiser has evolved over the years. We have a tradition of holding an auction, selling t-shirts featuring work by a local artist, and educational tables from the chapter. When the sun goes down, we feature a series of short films inspired by the ocean or surfing.
We've since added to the activities before the films begin, including a surf swap, live music, and food and beer vendors!
Right now, we're in our planning stages. We've already put out a call for artists, next will be our call for films and we'll be looking for auction items and sponsors. Plus, we always need extra volunteers to help run the event! If you're interested in helping in any of those ways, please email surfmovienight@gmail.com.
