North Fork volunteers turn out for a massive Greenport cleanup!

This President's Day, the Eastern Long Island Chapter made its way back to the North Fork to clean up 67 Steps in Greenport. We are truly impressed by our North Fork volunteers! 68 of them showed up and removed 327 pounds of debris from the beach in just two hours!

To view the totals from our cleanup, see the results here (best viewed in browsers other than Google Chrome).

We really lucked out for this cleanup -- the weather was perfect, the turnout was great, and we enjoyed Greenport pints at the end!

We have a lot of people to thank for making this cleanup a success...

Town of Southold Department of Public Works for picking up the trash
Westhampton Beach Brewing Co. for giving us their grain bags for us to upcycle
Chris Hamilton (@northforkfisherman) for the land-based photos and cleanup assistance
Bobby Alan for the drone shots and cleanup assistance
Greenport Harbor Brewery Co. for the post-cleanup pints

..and our awesome beach cleanup leaders and volunteers! We feel incredibly fortunate to have so much support from the community.
