Paddle For Clean Water 2006

paddle-out-circle

Members and friends of the Eastern Long Island Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation participated in the National Paddle for Clean Water on Saturday, September 9 at Ditch Plains Beach in Montauk.

The goal of the National Paddle for Clean Water is to raise awareness about the current state of our coasts and oceans, and advocate for changes that will help preserve these natural treasures. Surfrider Foundation chapters around the country participated in similar paddles this weekend to help to bring attention to the ongoing degradation of our coasts and oceans.

I want to thank everyone who took time out of their day to join us in this important effort. Our chapter continues to grow in size and influence and events like this allow us to bring our message to an even wider audience.
