Become a Core Volunteer this Spring

If you've ever volunteered with us but always wanted to get more involved in our mission, a core volunteer training would be just the thing for you.

A lot of people meet us at a beach cleanup or chapter meeting and feel inspired to do more for our oceans, waves, and beaches. A core volunteer training will teach you how to do that! These will also be a great refresher if you've completed one of our trainings in the past.

These sessions will spell out specific volunteer roles and current opportunities with our chapter. The goal is for volunteers to leave feeling knowledgeable about Surfrider Foundation and what we do. We want trained volunteers to feel empowered as Surfrider ambassadors and stoked to contribute to the health of our ocean, waves and beaches. Plus, these trainings will provide us with a pool of volunteers to call upon when a need exists.

We are planning two training sessions to take place on two weeknights in April:

  • North Fork – Wednesday April 5, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm, Hallock State Park Preserve, Riverhead. Sign up here
  • South Fork – Wednesday April 19, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm, Rogers Memorial Library, Southampton. Sign up here

These venues have limited capacity, so registration is required and is first come, first served. Registration will be open soon! If you have any questions, contact our chapter coordinator.
