What: Core Volunteer Training
When: Monday, April 8th, 6:30-8:30pm
Where: Grain Surfboards, 11 Indian Wells Highway, Amagansett
Why: After showing up at a beach cleanup, or a chapter meeting a lot of people tend to ask us, “I’d love to help out, how can I be more involved?” In the past, we haven’t exactly had a great answer beyond “show up to a chapter meeting” or “come to our next cleanup.” Core Volunteer Trainings spell out specific volunteer roles and opportunities with our Chapter. The goal is for volunteers to leave the room knowledgable about who Surfrider Foundation is, what Surfrider Foundation does, and confident in their ability to speak about the organization.
We want trained volunteers to feel empowered as Surfrider ambassadors, stoked to contribute to the health of our ocean, waves and beaches.
